I visited Dunkin’ yesterday July 25th, at 6:50, and the employee who took my order was very pleasant. However, I was very concerned about the food handling by the employee preparing my order. The employee with the long curly hair was on FaceTime while wearing gloves, repeatedly touching the phone and then handling food without changing gloves. While my hash browns were cooking, the employee continued using the phone, then handled coffee supplies and the coffee machine with the same gloves. When my hash browns were ready, they were packaged using those same gloves after the employee had touched the phone and other surfaces. As someone who works in the food industry, I understand the importance of proper food safety. I politely told the employee to change their gloves next time after touching a cell phone before handling food. I ended up throwing my food away because I no longer felt comfortable eating it. I wasn’t concerned about the money—I was concerned about food safety and preventing cross-contamination. I hope this can be addressed by providing better food safety training so employees understand the importance of changing gloves after touching personal items before handling customers’ food. Just went in to buy gift cards for Christmas, and was told they only sell gift cards to customers who purchase something. I walked out. Always an issue here and there are 4 other Dunkin’s less than a mile away. Save yourself the headache Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
