This was our second visit and once again we felt very welcome. The staff create a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The food was outstanding from start to finish! This is one of our favourite restaurants in Edinburgh and we will definitely be back. Price per person: £100+

If you are in Edinburgh, eat here. Only six tables with amazing food and just as amazing service. The wine pairings were simply out of this world and we’ve even ordered some! I would give it 6 out of 5 if I could. I highly recommend Duthchas - run by an upcoming and young crew who are making their dreams come true. Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a very surprising find in this area, a small front onto the street, 6 tables of 2 and 4 places, a small bar area for preparing drinks, coffee, cutlery etc. Chairs have tartan drapes over them to add to the subdued decor of green walls. The single toilet is downstairs with individual towels for drying hands at a small wash hand basin. Local drinks are on offer, Bon Accord rhubarb juice, Campervan beers. We were warmly welcomes at 12:15pm for dinner. We were the first there but it did fill up. Drinks menus were on tablets software driven to allow all the drinks to be detailed if you are interested enough to want to know more. We had a glass of wine and a can of beer called Leith Pils. We had booked the wee taster menu. It started with a series of small tasters, different flavours and textures served with it's own cutlery. They were served with explanations of their ingredients and at a reasonable pace. A special bread and butter was then served. The first course was trout, served cold. The pigeon was hot and my favourite. We didn't take the cheese. Chocolate orange was the dessert and very good it was. To our surprise we were then given a sweet box to finish, with rhubarb delight, intense chocolate and almond biscuit. A great way to finish a great meal. Price per person: £70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
