Called in with a group of friends a few weeks back and, for the most part, it was an enjoyable night. The staff were welcoming and the venue was buzzing, which definitely added to the overall atmosphere. That said, the music didn’t live up to expectations. PlayHouse were on, but the DJ’s attitude came across as dismissive, and the transitions and overall mixing were fairly poor. One of the group had been there recently and recognised the set almost track for track, which was disappointing. Given Cork’s long-standing house music scene, the standard felt underwhelming. The crowd and energy were spot on, but the music itself fell well short of what it could — and should — have been. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I’m in Edison very regularly and last night I went there and the bouncer said to me “19 year olds don’t spend money “ so I was refused entry. Never have I come across this rudeness from bouncers I was left in shock and will never be returning. A place turning down business is disgraceful Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

My aunt had her going away party tonight, we had to leave our tables because a family of travellers seem to drink here regularly and we’re aggressive to us. I’m still disappointed about this as it was our last time together. Edison was never like this before Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
