Этот ресторан находится неподалеку от Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto.

My favorite Hakka Chinese restaurant used to be Fook Xing for the past 7 years. That was bought by someone else and the quality and taste was not the same. I was so depressed when it closed down until one night I was invited to a dinner where they had ordered from Eddie's. The first bite of the Manchurian chicken I took left me in gasps. Nothing I had eaten before this could match. I have so far ordered 4 times from here and they keep on getting better and tastier everytime that I eat there. The chef needs all the awards and praises. Additionally, their staff is damn amazing too- super professional and quick. One of their staff ( I forgot to get his name- he usually has allergies) is extremely diligent and dedicated to his work. All in all, one of the best take out / dine in casual day restaurant to binge eat. Thank you Eddie's! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been going to Eddies on my own, with friends and family for many years! Their mango lassi, hakka noodles and fried rice are my go tos! Also I was so sad to hear their amazing fried chicken wontons were discontinued recently. Please bring them back, haha! 2019-12-31. Eddie's Wok N Roll. Mississauga, ON. Eddie's Wok N Roll is normally closed on Tuesday's, but being New Years Eve, they're open to serve on one of the business days of the year. Located in the Millcreek Plaza at the SE corner of Erin Mills Drive and Millcreek, there's plenty of free parking. The place isn't exactly small, but it's not big either. It's compact and seats 72 or so. There's a rear area by the kitchen that could probably seat an additional 12, but they use that area exclusively for staging take out and catering orders. They can accommodate parties of up to 10, but if you have more than that, you're looking at multiple tables. We were a larger group so we were able to order a nice array of dishes that filled the spectrum of cuisines made with Halal meats. For appetizers we ordered the fish pakora, the lollipop chicken, and the shrimp wonton for the kiddies. For mains, we had the Manchurian Fish, the House Special Hakka Chow Mein, Chicken Pad Thai, Mongolian Beef Sizzler, Mango Manchurian Shrimp, Crispy Sesame Beef, and the Laksam. In the interest of space, I'll be curt with my views of each dish. Fish Pakora. Indian and Hakka Pakora is typically super spicy, but this one wasn't. It was mildly spicy at best, so much so that my kids were able to handle it. Served with a side of green chutney which also packed very little heat. 3,5 stars. Lollipop Chicken. Another Indian Chinese dish, chicken drummies are Frenched and then deep fried. Some places batter it lightly with spices, but here it was au natural. This dish is typically served with some Szechuan heat, but here it was served with the same green chutney. This dish was more eye candy than taste bud explosion. 2 stars. Shrimp Wonton. A Chinese dish, minced shrimp is wrapped in wonton wrappers and deep fried. Served with a side of spicy sweet and sour sauce. It was just ok for me but the kids loved it. 3 stars. The Manchurian Fish is breaded, deep fried, and sauced. It can come spicy and non. The fish itself was pretty good, but they were heavy handed with the sauce. 3 stars. House Special Hakka Chow Mein. Chow Mein is a popular Taishan noodle from SE China that is dry fried. Hakka refers to the style in which it's prepared. Far from being an expert in Hakka foods, I wasn't sure what to expect. The dish was traditional Chow Mein with carrots, peppers, and bean sprouts stir fried in a wok. What was different was that it was flavoured with dry spices and not sauced. Hints of turmeric give the dish a nice pop, and shrimp was the protein of choice. 3,5 stars. Chicken Pad Thai. I'm not a fan if Pad Thai, but this one was prepared well. The noodle was neither too wet nor too dry. Unfortunately, it didn't quite carry the flavour well enough. 3 stars. Mongolian Beef Sizzler. Served on a hot iron plate, this was one dish that did display some heat. Nothing overbearing, but enough to define the dish. The beef was tender and the sauce was more Chinese than Mongolian. 4 stars. Mango Manchurian Shrimp. This was very similar to sweet and sour shrimp. I wasn't able to discern any presence of mango, and like the Manchurian Fish, they were heavy handed with the sauce. The kids didn't mind sopping this one up with their steamed rice. 3,5 stars. Crispy Sesame Beef. Slices of beef deep fried and honeyed, then topped with sesame seeds. Slightly too cooked for my liking as some pieces were dried out, but it was another hit with the kids. 3,5 stars. Laksam. So to me Laksa or Laksam is noodle soup, here it's Chicken Curry. The curry was a yellow curry, a little on the salty side, but full of flavour. Cumin, turmeric, and coconut milk did not make a huge showing but was present. 4 stars. Eddie's Wok N Roll is a pretty unique place. I'd say they're fusion, but they're really not. I'd say they're Xin Jiang (Northwestern China), but they're not that either. In the end I'd have to classify Eddie's as Manchurian, in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Eddie's is not a mix or blend of cuisines (aka fusion), but an overlapping grouping of foods and flavours as Manchuria is defined. At Eddie's, you'll find traditional dishes of north eastern China, south eastern China, and western China. Each with their own blend of spices and flavours. While the dishes were not unique, they do cover an array of foods from all over Asia, and they're pretty tasty. They are on the pricey side, but they don't serve you French portions either. The dishes are served family style as with all Chinese meals and are meant for sharing, so it's definitely better for mid sized groups (6 would be a pretty good number to get a nice variety). The only thing Eddie's is missing is cuisine from north western China. Some lamb dishes would be a great addition to the menu, a solid 3,5 star showing for me this dining experience. But if I have to round, it'd be up not down. If You would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!
