Wife went to get me enchiladas yesterday close to closing. I sent her screenshots of exactly what to buy on the menu. She showed the person taking the order the screenshots so there wouldn’t be any confusion. It was three items. Instead of giving me the cheese and poblano enchiladas they gave me chicken enchiladas. It was around closing time and when we tried to call they didn’t answer. She left a message and 24 hours later, no response. She went back in tonight with the food and they asked for the receipt. Unfortunately, THEY didn’t put the receipt in the bag. They refused to do anything without the receipt. My wife went to show them the charge in the banking app and they refused to look at it. Would they have been that rude if she were American instead of a little Mayan immigrant? I don’t know, but I doubt they would have treated me the same way. I have been going there since I moved here in August to have a rum and coke and get my son chicken tinga tacos at least a couple of times a month. I guess I will need to get my tacos down the road from now on. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I do, really love El Pavo Real. Their flan is just divine. I also absolutely adore their enchiladas. They are some of the best I've had, and are also a kid favorite. Its pretty kid friendly, i love how they take the kids drawings and put them on the walls. There's also great chalk art, El Pavo Real is a must-go to when your in broadmoor, New Orleans. Have been to El Pavo many times, but tonight was the best. We did take out for my family of five. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but the standout tonight was Carne Asada. Perfectly cooked steak with tortillas, beans and rice and fixings - fresh guacamole, sautéed red onion, peppers, more. Then for dessert, churros (sp?) which are delicious fried pastries with cinnamon flavor, that come with a chocolate mousse - to die for. Worth seeking out.
