I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The menu advertised one whole chicken with two sides for $24.99, but when I received my receipt, I noticed I was charged $25.99 instead. Customers should be charged the price that is clearly advertised. After receiving our food, I realized there were no napkins included. I looked around the counter area and couldn’t find any available for customers, so I had to go back and ask the cashier. The same thing happened with silverware and plates—they were not provided, and nobody asked whether we needed them. If you don’t specifically ask, they don’t include them with your order. What really shocked me was the final bill. We ordered two and a half chickens, and the total came to about $85. For what is essentially rotisserie-style chicken, that price feels excessive and simply not worth it. To make matters worse, there was a large sign prominently displayed stating that extra sauce costs $0.50, yet basic customer conveniences like napkins, utensils, and plates were not readily available. It gave the impression that the focus is more on charging customers for extras than on providing a good customer experience. Overall, I found the experience overpriced and frustrating. For the amount I spent, I expected much better service and attention to customers’ needs. Personally, I would rather go to Costco, buy a rotisserie chicken, save a significant amount of money, get more food, and avoid the hassle. I’ve been a long-time customer of El Pollo Rico in Woodbridge, VA, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered two quarter chicken meals one with French fries and one with yuca fries. The cashier repeated the order back and confirmed everything. However, when I received the receipt, I noticed the yuca fries order was more expensive. When I asked why, the employee told me there was a $1 up-charge for yuca fries. It’s bad enough their prices have already gone up about two times this year alone, the up-charge was never mentioned when I placed the order. Instead of explaining, she simply pointed to the bottom of the menu board, which was barely visible and not properly lit. When I responded (in Spanish) that customers should be informed of price differences upfront—not expected to read a poorly lit sign—she just stared at me and didn’t say another word. No apology, no clarification, nothing. To make matters worse, when I got home and opened the order, the “yuca fries” were mostly French fries with only about five pieces of yuca mixed in. That felt intentional and unacceptable. After years of being a loyal customer, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. Between the lack of communication, poor customer service, and incorrect order, I will not be returning, and strongly recommend you think twice before patronizing this establishment, Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We're sorry you had a negative experience but you are mistaken about our menu prices. They have been the same since July of 2023, including the $1 up charge for Yucca. These prices are listed clearly on the menu boards on above our front counter and were explained to you during your visit.

Far from Peruvian! No Chaufa? Arroz frito? The portions are for a baby or child. And very expensive. Charge you for extra Salsa green or white that taste like mayonnaise. ? Im sorry but no stars today Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
