The quality of food was horrible. The prawn appetizer was supposed to come with 6 jumbo prawns but we only got two cut in half. Paying $15 for two prawns is unacceptable. They also forgot my daughter's meal all together. The rest of the food was dry and flavorless. I tried to talk to the manager multiple times, but they refused to speak to me or address the issue. This restaurant has terrible business practices and even worse management.do not eat here.

Sadly I’m having to update my review, we were a fan of this restaurant but will now be taking our business elsewhere. I was very disappointed the last couple of times we have had El Sarape. The first mistake was a epic fail on el serapes part during this past cinco de Mayo - I was contacted by the owner and he made things right which I thought was awesome of him and was so impressed with their customer service to make things right, however fast forward a few months later I went in to use the gift card I was given for the value of my previous order, only to be told it had a $0 balance by the manager who then acted as if I already used the money, mind you we received the gift card during the first shut down and this was our first time dining at a restaurant after things re opened. I was in shock that I was being treated so rudely especially since I never used the gift card. He started to tell me there was nothing he could do, when I asked to speak to the owner (the one who gave me the card) the manager then went into the back and then sent another server out to tell me “it was taken care of”. I’m just appalled at the way I was treated and with no apology. I felt sorry for the server having to be the messenger. All in all after that experience we won’t be returning.
