Seated us at the very back of the restaurant by the kitchen even though restaurant was mostly empty. When we asked to sit by a window to people watch, they told us the section was closed. Not so much an issue, we aren't usually that fussy about it, so Sat in a booth. Wouldn't have minded if the food was up to par. Ordered a steve-colada (one of their custom drinks for £8) that was 99% ice slushy and grenadine. I ordered the souvlaki chicken with lemon potatoes. The chicken was SO dry and the potatoes were so drenched in fake citrus they were like chewing on a mushy wedge of lemon. There was an attempt at a salad which had a mystery dressing which was perplexing in its absolute absence of any taste. (We thought we had covid for a minute. Fascinating.) My husband had the sofrito, which was overcooked beef in brown water with mushy veg and zero flavor. Have to say was barely edible. Would've left more on the plate if we weren't absolutely starving from a long trip. 2 stars are for the baklava which was very good. Unfortunately can't reccomend the rest. WORST restaurant I have ever been to in Glasgow. Extremely disappointing experience and mediocre food. The food was really bland with very little seasoning, but that was not the worst part. After I asked for the bill, I left the payment on the table, as I would with any other restaurant. Just I was about to head out the door, one of their staff, which I assumed was the manager stopped me and asked, “Did you pay?”. I said to her that the money is on the table and continued to leave. A min later, the manager came on to the street and stopped me and accused me of underpaying. I was 100% sure that I had put down the correct amount, so I followed her back to the restaurant. Just as I was about to ask to look at the CCTV, they found the money on a chair sitting between the table I was at, and the till. It was clearly their own fault, but then she had the audacity to say to me that, “Next time, don’t leave without saying.” My reply to her was, there will NOT be a next time.
