Only negative were all the bees. There were wasps nests on several holes and my friend got stung on a tee box. Course was phenomenal and we loved it! Wonderful layout and great course conditions.

Thanks for playing and the great review. Fall is bad for Yellow Jackets in the Black Hills. We try to keep them in check.

This golf course is good and challenging! The staff at the clubhouse were helpful and friendly. It does need better signage for directions to hole locations and didn’t like the interstate noise for some of the holes. Our experience on this course was ruined by a foursome of older gentlemen who were playing more than one ball and taking large amounts of time on each hole. We waited as long as 5 minutes on some holes while they were looking for balls and taking their second shots. We were behind them from hole 3 on and they didn’t let us play through til hole 16. We told the clubhouse staff at the turn about this but nothing was done. Then I called in on hole 11 because it was closer to a 10 minute wait and the staff said they would send them a message on their cart. They should have a ranger on duty and enforce golf etiquette! Needless to say our experience on this course was not great after paying 85 dollars for the 18 holes!

I've been a member at the Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club since it opened as a 9 hole course. It is one of my favorite courses in South Dakota! I love the cats with GPS, USB chargers and speakers with blue tooth capability. The course was in great shape in 2022. The pro shop and the course staff are great. Looking forward to improvements from the Miller Creek Pub as it feels a little disconnected from the course. As a member, I'd love to get the feel you get at other club restaurants in the area. I'm sure that will come with time. Overall, I'm there to golf and enjoy the course I truly do! Hoping for more tournaments and attempt to revive some ladies league type activities in 2023.
