very busy, did not expect that many people to be there...but it was odd that it felt kinda empty even though there were almost 40 singers. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $10–20

I have been frequenting the Embers for a long time, primarily for dancing and the occasional hamburger. I have recently had their steak dinner twice. Both times the steak and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The salad was all green with a good balsamic vinegar dressing. The waitress was very accommodating on this visit. As time went on, I had the $23 top sirloin steak dinner again a couple of more times. I also entered the restaurant a couple more times and found it too noisy to stay. When I asked for the manager, I got the runaround for a couple of weeks. When I talked with her she agreed with me that there should be a reasonably quiet dinner hour. My complaint is that the music is always too loud and there's a lot of loud talking and such. The next to last time that I went there the waitress said, "well it's a bar." After talking to the manager, I thought the situation might be resolved. However, instead, they've decided to put a pool table in the middle dining area! I won't be going there for their excellent steak dinner anymore, but I'm sure I will get in for some dancing at some time. That seems to be the crowd that they are actually catering to.
