*This place is now Happy Canton. The same review has been left against the new name* Another place I can take off my list of restaurants to eat at due to change in management and cost cutting. Emperor's kitchen was a great Dim Sum location, offering the tried and true choices in cart Dim Sum experience. It's now a shell of its former self, with a small and limited menu for Dim Sum and management pushing you to order off their bigger, more expensive main menu. They said this was to respond to customer feedback of wanting a faster, fresher made to order Dim Sum experience. This was far from what we experienced. Food service was painfully slow for Dim Sum and came out one at a time, sporadically. We ordered the standard affair, prawn dumplings, juicy pork dumplings, doughnut in rice flour roll and a beef tendon with spicy sauce. The common theme among all of them was "steamed from frozen or microwaved from leftovers". The beef tendon should be a vibrant, textured dish. What came out was a microwaved, mushy mess. At least the flavour was still there. Can safely say we won't be coming back after years of repeat patronage. Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Regular customer here, as a Chinese from Wuhan, hard to find restaurants that we love to walk in regularly. Emperor’s Kitchen is our go-to for dim sum as brunch or Chinese dishes dinner. Szechuan style chicken in stone pot is our favorite and must have every time. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
