we had the best dinner we have ever had in Montana last night at Enga At Larch House hotel. The decor is understated and beautifully elevated at the same time. Our service was at 10. Food was a 10. Wine was a 10. Atmosphere was a 10. Outdoor dining will be added soon and is beautiful as well with a stunning fire outdoor outdoors. I understand there will be more dining options in the near future. It is a seriously well-thought-out menu with the best appetizers in Whitefish. We tried the carpaccio, Escargot, Crispy artichokes, And the Barrata with crisp. Each one was outstanding. Truly, the best salmon I have ever had, but the schnitzel was also incredible. One of us had the Bolognese and raved about it and it’s a pretty great cheeseburger too. All in all, I would give it 11 out of 10. It’s an absolute must. Thank you for coming to Whitefish.

Some crazy behavior taking place at this restaurant. Over May long weekend I came here with a group of 9, things started of fine, room was nice, applies were good, but then when mine and my brother in laws burgers came, which we ordered medium and well done, they were both rare. And being from Canada, rare ground beef isn't something you do. After a couple bites and seeing how pink it was in the middle, we sent them back and asked to have them cooked the way we originally requested. The server first tried to gaslight us into thinking that our almost red burgers were medium and well done, and after standing our ground they took them back, took the burgers apart in the kitchen, refried the chewed patties and reassembled the burgers. Returning to us a plate of re-cooked burgers with bites taken out...which is not only really gross, but I dont think you're allowed to do that. I asked the server if this was the same burger I had taken bites out of and she looked at me and said "well yes, you took bites out so we're not making a new one." I told her that's wild behavior, and was surprised they would do that. Since it took 15 min to get our burgers re-cooked, and we waited so long for it in the first place I had no energy left. Ate them and left. Won't be back. Price per person: $80–90 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
