Well. My breakfast (sausage, egg, mozzarella on a plain bagel) and muffin were delicious. My cappuccino, in a mug, was HUGE, and perfect. I gave the atmosphere a 4/5 because the music was too loud for me and not anything I wanted to listen to. But, I only gave it a 4 because you either have to give a 4 or 5. I would give it a 4.9/5 were it an option. Great food, great coffee and I would gladly go back. Thanks! Meal type: Breakfast

I haven’t felt more accepted and part of the community than when I step inside equal grounds. They make me feel included and never like I’m being judged. I’ve never seen a place that not only has amazing drinks and great food but the people who work here go above and beyond to make your experience extra special! Used to go to this place weekly without fail. After they changed management they removed a huge majority of the queer representation and art and replaced it with poorly painted pictures of anime characters to the tune of upwards of $150. The food just isn’t good anymore. Neither is the coffee. It somehow always feels sterile and dirty at the same time. I could stand it when it was outwardly and loudly queer owned and operated. It felt like you were supporting a good cause. Now it feels like this is trying to leech off years of good will from the community that built the initial business up. Tl;dr It feels like ChatGPT tried to recreate the Equal Grounds everybody loved and missed the mark. If you want to buy paintings of anime characters maybe go? We appreciate your review and we hear your concerns about queer representation. The flags were removed due to sanitation.They were filthy, dust filled ,waving and dropping dust into the kitchen area. The cafe walls are FILLED with various local artists not just anime art. The chat Gpt Review is harsh and the new decor is to hopefully be befitting for the ENTIRE COMMUNITY to come in and enjoy our premium beans which are the same beans from previous owners roaster,that's never changed.maybe just your view once the decor shifted. However the new owner is apart of the LGBTQ + community. (But no one has ever asked that ) The environment is way cleaner than its EVER been.Every employee is serve safe certified , we upgraded our menu options as well. Equal Grounds is still a safe space. We are preserving the legacy, refreshing the cafe, and reinstalling representation in a cleaner, protected, intentional way. Our vision still aligns with theirs but it's inclusive to the community as a whole! In a attempt to brighten the environment we changed a lot so that it feels fresh We are expanding the welcome, not removing the legacy. If you stop in with a new set of eyes you will see representation not just for one but ALL in the decor and menu.
