ESTRAGON is a new highlight in Felanitx, which is otherwise not blessed with great gastronomy. The restaurant with the beautiful lettering above the door is located in a large square, with a small terrace when the weather is nice. We were greeted cheerfully and friendly by Felix, the new boss at Estragon, who fulfilled a small table request without much inconvenience. Inside, the restaurant is very nicely styled with art and decoration without seeming fake. Then the food came. What should I write? It couldn't be better! A wonderfully fruity tomato soup, a sumptuous salad with fine goat cheese, then a large piece of cod, cleverly cooked in parchment with small potato slices, spinach and an Asian topping sauce, a perfectly cooked, herbed rack of lamb with fine beans and sweet potato fries, and... Finally, a fantastic dessert made of small, crispy dumplings filled with warm apple compote on crumble with white chocolate cream. As recommended by Felix, a perfectly matching white nounat from Bodega Binigrau. We have rarely eaten so well in Mallorca! Hopefully the guests will keep the tarragon for a long time. We are definitely looking forward to the next visit! We were at Tarragon yesterday just by chance and were more than thrilled! Both the food and the ambience were outstanding, and everything was topped by the excellent service!
