I recently stayed at the Falcon Inn in Uxbridge and was extremely disappointed with the experience. I had travelled over 200 miles to visit what I thought would be a little hidden gem, which made the overall experience even more frustrating. We arrived at 6:30pm, only to be told they had no record of our booking and that their computer system was down. This was frustrating and immediately gave a poor first impression. When we went to the bar area (which doubles as reception), the person there said he would find out what was going on, around five minutes later they returned. We were then told it would take another 10 minutes to prepare our room, yet no refreshments or apology were offered while we waited. When we finally got into the room, it was very basic and the bed was not comfortable at all. To make matters worse, we were informed that they do not serve food. We had specifically booked bed and breakfast, so it was shocking to find out that “breakfast” was simply a box of cornflakes left in the room, which felt misleading and poor value. Overall, the lack of organisation, poor service, and disappointing accommodation made this a very unsatisfactory stay. It’s never a 4 star, it’s a poorly run basic bed and breakfast without breakfast. I would not recommend staying here and would advise others to consider alternative options. Service: 1
