We actually tried the summer bar with an open roof and a Campari trolley; the glasses and freshness created a very refreshing vibe. Love the area so much that our daughter moved in next door! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30

A review by Critical Knife and Fork: Fitz's at the Kimpton Fitzroy. There is something special about dining at Fitz's, the elegant restaurant nestled within the Kimpton Fitzroy. Designed by the same architect responsible for the famed dining room aboard the Titanic, the space offers perhaps the closest living glimpse into that grand room. Our party of four settled in for what proved to be an outstanding meal. The star of the meal was the beautifully tender sliced sirloin beef, however it was perfectly accompanied by crisp duck-fat roast potatoes, seasonal veggies and a puffy Yorkshire pudding that delivered exactly the comforting indulgence one hopes for on a Sunday evening. We began with the peppers and, most memorably, the bread and butter, which were simply to die for. Service was a touch awkward, but gracious, kind, and genuinely lovely. Any minor missteps were easily forgiven thanks to our waiter's sincerity and effort. In a city where dining prices can be highly inflated, Fitz's offers value for the quality of both the food and the setting. Between the historic surroundings, excellent Sunday roast, and thoughtful hospitality, this was an exquisite meal from start to finish. A strong recommendation for anyone seeking one of London's finest Sunday roasts in one of its most beautiful dining rooms. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60
