The food was super salty and the waiter bowed to us like we were in a Japanese tea house or something. It was weirdly empty like there wasn't enough furniture. Was kind of expensive as well. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

We were on our way back to Washington, after our South Oregon Coast trip, and were super hungry, but didn't want to settle for the usual fast food chains. That's when we stumbled upon Flashbacks Fountain & Grill in Newport, OR. We opted for the Chicken Strip Basket with Ranch and Fries, and also got ourselves a chocolate milkshake to go. The milkshake was yummy, made from almost all ice cream, it was incredibly thick and creamy. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the Chicken Strips Basket. The strips were fried to perfection, with a nice crispy coating, and with the dip, both the fries and strips were incredibly tasty. The quantity was also enough for two people. This is definitely a must-try if you're in the area. The service was fairly fast and the staff were very polite. We were in and out in no time, making it a perfect pit stop on our road trip. The food was definitely worth it and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. In conclusion, Flashbacks Fountain & Grill is a hidden gem in Newport, OR, and is the perfect place to grab some quick and delicious bites on the go. The Chicken Strip Basket is a must-try and the chocolate milkshake is an added bonus. If you're looking for a break from the usual fast food chains, this place is definitely worth a visit.
