We turned up for dinner at around 8pm and was seated in 10minutes without a booking. The staff were all incredibly friendly. The food was extremely delicious, my friend and I were just eating in complete silence in awe of all the flavours and textures. I highly recommend the trip out if this has been on your list! Flyover is truly one of the most delightful restaurants ever - I went last weekend for the first time for the "Mad for Madurai" set menu for Valentines Day. Firstly, the staff are wonderful - warm and knowledgeable - and to see a kitchen and dining area staffed by so many South Asian women was a joy. The food was phenomenal - the serves were generous for a set menu, and it was so great to see Tamil/South Indian food specifically being showcased. The pongal was unbelievable (super rich and creamy), the uttapam was loaded with fried garlic, onion and other toppings and the peanut chutney was incredible. Not a single dish missed the mark and I'm not exaggerating when I say the besan ice cream was so good it made me cry! (I cry about everything but weeping over ice cream is a new one, even for me.) You can tell how much love, care and passion has gone into Flyover. I wish them all the best for their continued success and look forward to eating there many more times!
