I had an unpleasant experience with breakfast at this hotel. I stayed there for one night before doing the 3 peaks challenge. I called the hotel few days before to ask them about their vegan options for breakfast and they reassured me there will be vegan sausages and beans as well as plant milk, I needed to make sure there will be something for me to eat before such a difficult physical challenge. When I got there, there were no options for me and I had to look for someone to get me this. A man working at the reception was extremely rude asking me who was it that I spoke to and that I definitely didn't speak to him making me feel aa if I am being unreasonable for asking for diet options that I was told they would have before I decided to come in the first place. If you're vegan, you better be prepared - they will treat you as if you're a burden for asking for something they had already assured you they would provide. Service: 1

Stayed for one night in a single room. Really old-school hotel which I loved. Loads of character. Staff were very friendly, especially reception and restaurant staff. The food in the restaurant was really great. Almost ordered everything twice it was so good. Great location - directly across from train station. Would love to stay again. Service: 5

I’ve been coming to Alexandra Hotel for years and slowly the stars are decreasing from my first stay to my 5th stay. From my first year it was 5 stars it was a great location to access Scotland, the decor blended with the building etc…. and food was nicely prepared. Probably for the final time this was my last, rooms need TLC, fit loose bulbs, wallpaper and give it a little love. Had tea in bistro again dated area that needs a little bit of attention. You can’t help but notice little defects that overall together notches the stars down. Breakfast is advertised on Websiteto 10:00 (as of 25-May-2025) but was told when arriving down that morning it was 9:30, staff was attentive and still got breakfast so thank you. The price per night of £177.00 for a double room may be competitive my view is not value for money. Due to how busy Fort William has got over the years with traffic and camper vans and the endless shops for overseas tourists or Harry Potter fans this will be the last time I visit.
