We met my disabled cousin for lunch as the facilities are fine for him. Our meals were excellent, service efficient and welcoming. Well done Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Fox & Hounds has featured throughout my life from accompanying adults as a child playing in the hey stacks with a bottle of lemonade and bag of crisps, to family wakes and in recent years Sunday lunches. When I heard they were refurbishing it my heart sank as I didn’t want it to change, but I knew it needed it and voiced my opinion on not wanting it to change too much. They knew the customers wishes and all we could do was hope and pray they listened. We called in the other day after waiting for it to settle in and checked it out and booked a table for Sunday 13th January (fully booked every day since opening!) I must say we were both VERY impressed, both from the overall look and improvements AND the fact they had kept its true essence by keeping the snug and small bar pretty much unchanged except for a de clutter and lick of paint. They even kept the small bar at customers request, you can't ask for more than that! Liking the bench seating in there great look. The main bar is central and curved which looks good in the main bar. The ambiance was welcoming with modern tasteful decor. Our next, and crucial, test will be our Sunday lunch on the 13th so fingers crossed. Looking forward to it Update after visit Sunday 13th...Thank God the food is still delicious too. Shout out to the kitchen staff who are working hard behind the scene being a big part of keeping the Fox & Hounds firmly on the map for good food.All the staff front of house work hard yet always stop to chat to customers, especially their regulars. Nothing is too much trouble. They work well as a team to make your visit to the Fox & Hounds a rememberable one. A credit to the company. I'm happy that somewhere so special to me, remains special
