Absolutely disgusting service waited two hours for food, rang 8 times and was ignored every single time except the one time where the phone was answered half an hour after it was due to be delivered. Paid £17.30 for one fish and chips and it took them two hours to make and deliver it... My house is a two minute walk from the shop so absolutely no excuse as to why it had taken so long. Portion was ridiculous for the price. I understand it's good Friday and its a busy time of year but the shop should be prepared for these type of situations and get extra staff working on what I'd imagine is the busiest day of the year. Not fair keeping my daughter up past her bedtime waiting for food, it's not like I ordered a large amount I could've went to the shop and made it myself in the amount of time it took them to make it and deliver it. I used to always buy from here but never again that was absolutely disgusting service I've never had such a bad experience! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Been two weeks running now in my quest to find a decent chippy after being let down by pretty much every other place in Billingham. A customer of mine recommended Frydays so I thought I would give them a go. Staff are absolutely lovely, very friendly despite being very busy, and the food is excellent; nice crispy batter, fluffy/flaky fish and properly cooked, golden chips. Battered sausage is also good, noticeably better quality than most chippy sausages. Curry sauce was tasty and seemed homemade which is a huge plus for me. They also accept card payments at the till which is unusual for a chippy round here, but very much appreciated. Definitely recommend. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20
