Our policy follows the Constitution. As a privately operated business in North Carolina, our indoor premises is private property. The Fourth Amendment makes clear that government agents have no right to enter or search private property without consent or a judicial warrant signed by a judge. ICE’s administrative forms and internal paperwork do not override these constitutional protections, and they do not give them permission to step inside our building. If ICE wishes to come inside, they must present a judge-signed warrant. That's what the sign says, and that's the America we believe in! We still do single squares (just a more focused list so the rotation is fresher and we waste less food). And goodness gracious, we'll put the pastrami back on the menu. But I gotta ask, person-to-person, could you not just ask your friendly bartender to put in a good word for the sandwich? We'd gladly respond to the feedback. I've been in this biz a long time and have developed a pretty thick skin, but stuff like this messes with us, like mental health-wise. We look forward to seeing you back with a pastrami sandwich in hand and hopefully an updated review. bums me the hell out.

Honest answer: it's been our lowest-selling sandwich and sometimes you make room to be able to innovate. Slow sellers are the obvious candidate. Prior to y'all's carpaccio-bombing, I don't know that the word "pastrami" came up in any of our 150+ reviews, good or bad. Now we know there's a vocal group of advocates for this sandwich, so sure, we'll put it back on the menu.
