My review for Fish and Chips Appreciation Society FUNKY FRYER 54 Greenwich Ave, Hull HU9 4UY Small Haddock and very small chips ( my choice), cooked in Beef Dripping and potatos were Sagitta. £5. Called after reviewing another chippy close by. I initially ordered just a small fish at £4.80 but asked them to throw on 20p worth of chips. They initially put a full scoop on but I asked them to take some off. ( Great Service) Fish was cooked fresh in a lovely crisp batter. The fish itself was a very decent price for the cost and it was very good. Nice lovely chunks of pure white. The let down were the chips which could have done with a couple of minutes more. ( I wonder if this is a Hull thing ). But they were still tasty enough. All in all a very decent meal at an extremely generous price and I would call again, but it didnt quite match Harry's nearby. However, it is certainly far better than its low google score of 3.8 would suggest. 7.5 from me. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This place is nice and peaceful no shouting like other places that server food and the food came really fast and it was handed kindly I really recommend this shop Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Been using this Chippy since well before I moved on Bilton Grange absolutely spot on & a lot better than some of the more well known chip shops out there Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
