We ordered the 8-course menu, which included duck. They brought out the duck, showed it to us, took it away, and then brought us some tiny tacos filled with duck meat—barely anything at all! The portions were very, very small. Honestly, this place is for tourists who don't know any better. Atmosphere: tense Service: tense Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I waited few days before writing my review to be sure I was not taken away by negative emotions. We had a private room and held a family dinner for 9 persons. I liked the room and decoration in traditional Chinese fashion. I didn’t like that several of appetizers plates were stained by an ashy, greish halo of dirt. I couldn’t check everyone plates but I saw the same dirt on my husband plate which we removed ourselves. The appetizer itself was good. During the champagne service, the young waitress poured a substantial amount of champagne on my child head and dress by mistake, the senior waitress helped to clean the table and the dress with a napkin , but from such establishment I would have expected, as a form of courtesy, to offer to pay for dry cleaning, which of course I would have declined. The other courses were nice but nothing spectacular for my liking and this is a very personal opinion. I asked a question about wine but the waitress couldn’t answer nor offered to call the sommelier (they have one) so I just ordered what I thought was good relying on my limited wine knowledge. Our host, a senior Chinese lady, was very rough and not so much pleasant, I would have expected that level of service in a casual Chinese dining and not in a establishment which claim to be high end. I do understand that several establishment have made their name over the years and rely on that, but I would encourage this restaurant to stay up to their standards and deliver their promise: High scale Chinese dining. I put 2 stars because I liked the Champagne that I chose myself.
