Had the Pad Kee Mao here and it strangely tasted like dessert which was really odd. I'm not used to tasting more than a hint of sugar in that dish and this one tasted like it was the primary ingredient. My server was awesome and it was a cool cozy spot out of the heat for lunch. They seemed to be super nervous about me asking for it to be spicy and the spice level came out good, though I could go a step up. While my server asked a lot about if the spice was ok, the answer was "spice level is fine..." What I wanted to say is that there was way too much sugar in it. I'm used to that dish being savory with basil and pepper or even sometimes garlicy, but not sugary. If I'm in Newberry again for lunch, I may try another dish and see how that goes. Happened to be in Newberry today around lunch and needed something yummy. Decided on Fusion Thai & Japanese based on other reviews. It was a great thing we did. We were immediately greeted and offered a table. Waitress was nice and attentive with quick delivery of drinks and orders. I ordered teriyaki chicken (7.99) for lunch bento with soup, salad, veggies, and rice. Husband ordered off Thai menu. Both items were very tasty. Miso soup and salad were good. Meats were well cooked with enough sauce but not over sweet. Wish I had pictures, but we were hungry. Will be stopping here again for great service, good food, and quick yummy menu. Thanks! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
