The menu is pretty good and the food is decent but it takes forever for the food to come. We waited a good 45 minutes for a single pizza...couldn't finish it and had to carry it since our boarding started. Don't think I will ever get anything from this place again.. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

This experience became progressively worse throughout our visit. During a 3-hour layover, my fiancée and I stopped in after being greeted by a friendly server while walking through the terminal. After reviewing our options, we chose Gavi so we could sit down, eat, and charge our phones before our flight. We shared a salad and a Margherita pizza. The salad was delivered without extra plates, and by the time someone checked on us and finally brought plates (over 10 minutes later), we had already finished the salad. Our pizza then took another 15+ minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the pizza itself was undercooked and floppy, the tables were dirty, and the overall dining area appeared poorly maintained. The “Margherita” is just a plain cheese pizza with a small basil garnish at the center of the pie. I attempted to move our green table mat to an empty high-top table myself, only to find those tables dirty as well. After finishing, we waited another 10+ minutes for our server to return, only to be told we were “all set.” When I asked about tip, she stated that it was already included. This immediately raised concern because nowhere on the menu was an automatic gratuity policy clearly disclosed. I then asked the employee who dropped off our food, and he explained that gratuity is not truly automatic and that guests are normally asked whether they would like to adjust the tip amount. When I returned to question our server again, she told me the tip is added when closing the ticket, without explaining the percentage or giving customers an opportunity to approve or modify it. She said at that point that i can edit it At that point I requested a manager. He explained that the gratuity should have been an automatic 18%, but you should be fiven the opportunity to adjust it. I can understand this in an airport environment where travelers may rush off to flights. He offered a refund, but because I was boarding my flight, I declined at the time. However, once I sat down to board and reviewed the receipt carefully, I realized the gratuity charged was actually 20%, not 18%. That means the server either altered or increased the tip amount herself when closing the transaction. That is completely unacceptable. Go to a t other pizzeria for quick service and a decent slice. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Gavi – IAH Airport Quick Bite Review I stopped by Gavi at Bush Intercontinental Airport to grab a quick bite before my flight, and honestly, it was a solid choice. I ordered the turkey and bacon panini for $19.99 — yes, a little pricey, but it is airport food, so what can you really say. The sandwich itself was fresh, tasty, and made right. The lady who brought my food out gave me excellent service — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. I wish I could remember her name because she deserves her flowers. All in all, I’d definitely return. Pricey? A bit. Worth it for good food and great service before a flight? Absolutely. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
