Beautiful Sunday roasts at very reasonable prices... Chicken supreme and Butternut squash and chestnut parcel. Both had incredible flavour and presentation. I complemented the waiting staff and owner and made sure the message got through to the staff in the kitchen. Lovely restored building with interesting history and a real community hub with great facilities. Highly recommended. Price per person: £20–30

Today we came for lunch on a very hot day and the service was excellent and very helpful, the food is delicious but I’ve mainly come to review this absolutely magnificent triple chocolate brownie biscoff dessert that was so good I had to take a picture of it in all its glory! Lovely lunch and experience Price per person: £10–20

First time visiting the George and really enjoyed our time there. We just popped in for a quick drink and some food and well what a find. My wife ordered a kids fish and chips which was cooked perfectly and I ordered their burger which was so nice it ranked in my top 5 burgers I’ve eaten. The staff were so friendly and the service spot on. Can’t wait to go back. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes
