Visited on Saturday 30 Mar 2024 for an early breakfast and to see the ducks at 9am The grounds are very well maintained and from the security staff at the entrance gate to staff at the restaurant, everyone was just very friendly and helpful We had The Soutie and Waffle breakfast, both very tasty and bigger portions than we expected On Q the ducks started making their way across the lawns and settled down in front of the restaurant area for about 10mins before wandering off , in a very orderly fashion , to one of the ponds. They must have had the Easter weekend off to as they were not amongst the vineyards The property also has a hotel, spa , fine dining and wine tasting. Very nice place close to Somerset West and we'll be back Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: R 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were blessed to have lunch at Geuwels as our first meal of 2024. Being a Bertus Basson restaurant we knew the food was going to be good but were blown away by every dish we tried. Highlights were the Chicken Liver Pate, Crispy Potato with a VERY generous helping of sour cream and quite possibly the best Apple Pie I have every had in my life (I have no idea who Tannie Hetta is but god bless her). The service was on point, the staff were attentive but unobtrusive and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. It goes without staying that Vergenoegd Löw is gorgeous and the restaurant is beautiful, we sat outside in the courtyard and even though it was a little windy it is well protected and helped keep us cool on a sunny day. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
