Update: June 26,2026. We wanted to give Ginger Beef another try and this time it was worst the salt and pepper squid was dry and rubbery, the chicken fried rice tasted old and had a slimy taste, the ginger beef was dry and had too much sugar. We all ended up feeling nauseous. We will most definitely never go to Ginger Beef again. $78.00 dollars spent and we ended up throwing the food away. The food has always been delicious However, tonight January 1st New Years Day was very disappointing. I found a rubber band in the salt and pepper squid. I’m very lucky I didn’t choke. I wondered why the squid tasted disgusting, it was a rubber band! Feeling disappointed. I spent over $100. Dollars glad this happened to me and not our guest. Price per person: CA$70–80 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Ginger Beef Express at Brentwood was close to where we previously lived. It was pretty good. So after moving to Arbour Lake, we decided to try the Crowfoot location. We ended up being very disappointed. The salt and pepper squid was almost too tough to chew. The fried rice dry. And the ginger chicken was very dry and rubbery. Other posters were correct in that the portions were huge. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1

The food was bland and tasteless. I’m fairly sure the pork dumplings were from Costco. When I took the food from the bag, most of the sauce from the ginger fried beef had spilled outside of the box. By the time I realized it there was a congealed mess on my counter. Will not be ordering from them again. Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 2
