Now I have to go back and take a star away from any other diner I rated 5 stars. Golden Globe is that good. Place looks like it’s been around awhile, which is a plus. Greeted warmly and seated immediately in the booth of our choice. Were served a plate of pickles, cole slaw and potato salad on the house, all freshly made and delicious. Coffee was hot and fresh and kept coming. Food was perfect; this was not ‘diner’ food. It was freshly made restaurant cuisine. And we were served as if we were old friends. Plenty of free parking in the rear, clean restaurant, clean bathrooms, reasonable prices. Totally accessible. Our first of many visits. It's been a while since I ate at the Golden Globe Diner but we really had a great time time. We went on Sunday around 12 o'clock . I was in the mood for a salad and wouldn't you know it , they had that great spinach salad on the menu. I added grilled shrimp to it. The salad came with a balsamic vinegarette dressing. Croutons, hard boiled egg, mushrooms, bacon, cucumbers and tomatoes - this salad had it all! My dining companion had chicken marsala which was so good. He also had roasted vegetables with it and we both had baked potatoes. A lot of places won't give you baked potatoes at lunch time but the Golden Globe did. For dessert we split a slice of Strawberry Shortcake and my companion had a cappuccino. The service was excellent and very responsive. This is a great place to go when you want to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch - anything you want they have it. I definitely recommend it.
