The good man bakes good. Scallion scone (biscuit for me, but listed as a scone) was bar none the best biscuit I've ever had. Very good sweet pastries too, but that biscuit... Also, perfectly fluffy eggs. But that biscuit! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The chocolate focaccia is life changing!! i love how crisp it is on the outside while still being fluffy and chewy with little bits of chocolate on the inside! The pastries are also incredibly good! We got the banana pudding filled brioche bun, potato knish, and cherry almond bear claw. All of them were fantastic, especially good when warmed up at home. I’m so excited to come back and try more :). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

From his blueberry-lemon scones (my favorite) to his chocolate focaccia (my second favorite) to his tres leches cake (my third favorite) to literally EVERYTHING ELSE I’ve tried - it’s SO good. We’re so lucky to have Lucas and crew baking up delicious, creative and classic, consistently awesome baked goods in downtown Rochester. I travel a lot - and always miss Goodman Bakes while not in town. I personally have to restrict myself from going everyday they’re open. A great place to grab a snack to nibble before or after a matinee at the Little, or to bring home treats and impress friends or family. And don’t sleep on their takeout lunch salads - or their frozen pot pies. Those pot pies have saved us from sadness and starvation on many a cold winter night - freezer to oven to mouth - SO GOOD.
