We do a lot of home cooking, competition cooking and do cater small events. We had used a local competitor for years for our products and supplies, but when GFS came to town, we decided to try them for a while. Initially things went well, we always got what we needed. STaff is mostly always nice, professional, store well appointed and clean. However, we started running into not being able to items we normally were able to get, sale items were out of stock when we drove the distance to get there. This doesn't help when you count on a service to help you meet regular needs, so we ended up going back to competitors more now that we have had better luck with. We will still use them, but we are much more careful and don't assume things will be readily available. Not sure if its corporate or management changes locally, but it used to be seamless. Don't advertise if you can't deliver the goods!
