I visited for restaurant week with my husband and a friend. The decor is impressive and staff were very friendly while directing us to the restaurant. Music was playing in the lobby, but in the dining room it was filtering in lightly and the hostess stand was empty. Once we were seated, our server was very pleasant and notified us that the restaurant week menu would have smaller portions, which would have been nice to know in advance. We tried the scallops which seemed like they had been cut and divided into smaller portions, but they were tasty. The deviled eggs were fine, but seemed a bit lacking in flavor. I very much enjoyed the rolls although they were heavy and dense. I had the asparagus soup which was interesting, but not to my taste. My husband had the tomato salad which was heavy on the onions but had good flavor. We tried both the lamb and fish. I was confused by the fish as it was supposed to have a fresno chili vinaigrette, but I only found one slice of a pepper and it seemed creamy; not like a vinaigrette. The lamb was delicious and the Brussels sprouts we additionally ordered were very tasty. The dessert was a citrus tart with sorbet and blueberry sauce - a bit monotone. The timing between the first course and second took 20-30 minutes. The presentation was beautiful. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner

Here’s a polished review: The Granddam was one of our favorite restaurants during our trip. The food was outstanding, and you can definitely tell there’s a talented chef behind the menu, I believe the executive chef has appeared on Top Chef. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Located inside The Manchester Hotel, it’s a great choice whether you’re staying there or just looking for an exceptional meal. We would absolutely dine here again.
