Food was sparse, but the salad I had was good. Service was outstanding, friendly, put customers needs first. The cashier was so sweet and attentive. A+ just because of her!!! The atmosphere was pleasant. Great place to meet up with friends over a coffee, or chat with the kids over ice cream. Not a place for a road trip meal per se. They have a fridge with meat sticks, pasta salad, etcmight vary by day. Glad to see such a family friendly place in town. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Dietary restrictions: They had salads in containers and watermelon in cups. This might be seasonally affected.

We happened upon this spot and stopped to grab a coffee and snack along our route home to Canada. Absolutely fantastic! Food is amazing and so fresh. They also have fresh juice and healthy grab and go snack containers. Coffee and lattes are delicious. It is a very easy on and off stop from the highway. The owner was there and we had such a great chat. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The restaurant and the washroom are both very clean and the restaurant is very kid friendly. They also have the best cinnamon buns. Prices are very reasonable. It is a perfect spot for anyone traveling along this route! So glad that we found this spot, we will definitely be back! Truly perfect. We recently drove a couple thousand miles, across 4 different states, and drank a LOT of coffee on the way. Nothing even came close to Grass Roots! We commented on it multiple times during our travels. We got home at 3:30am and got Grass Roots a few hours later. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $1–10
