This place was famous for its Peking duck but I thought it was very dry. There was no a single piece of fat left on the skin. The rest of the food was a combination of cuisines from different regions of china. Even the waiter confessed to me in Chinese their main clientele is westerners. As such, I didn't expect a super high degree of authenticity. The prices are about 50% higher than similar restaurants in Oakland Chinatown or the South Bay. I will not go back unless my western friends clamor for it.

Our experience there was horrible on April 28,2024. We had reservations for 5 people and sat by a 6 seat table which was perfect size. For some reason the host approached us politely asking if we would move to a bigger table at corner and little quiet. We had no reason to change table but we would like to be more flexible when asked. So we agreed. Two minutes after we settled on this 12 seat table which was obviously too big for us. A waiter asked us to sit to one side so they can put more people on. The host NEVER mentioned us to share table with others therefore we agreed to move. It was extremely inconvenient and impossible to share table because we had important guests. So we requested not to share table with others. Considering we had reservation the waiter or host must have made a mistake. But no one came to apologize or explain to us what was going on. Then a waiter came back to us and ask us to move back a six seat table again. So we were asked to change our table from 6 seats to 12 seats, and from 12 seats back to 5 seats in 5 minutes. It was not acceptable and ridiculous. Talked to manager, Linda. She admitted it was their fault to ask us to move but wasn’t apologizing. Not willing to compensate for our emotional distress. Therefore we walked out of there immediately. The management was awful. I never experienced such disappointment and embarrassment from any restaurant. Linda was rude and lack of respect for the customers. Definitely I will never go back to this embarrassing place again. Enough is enough! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Service: 1

Great China has excellent food and service. We supported them through the pandemic and the long closure and they supported our family with consistent high quality food and service. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Honey Walnut Prawns, Fried Rice
