I'm writing this review as I finish my beer at the bar, very satisfied. I want to be clear that any critique I put here does not diminish the excellent experience I just had. I ordered the loaded brussel sprouts and the royal club. The loaded brussel sprouts must be something dreamt up by a master chef. It was the perfect blend of salty, sweet and spicy with the crunch of perfectly cooked brussel sprouts. If you don't like brussel sprouts, you will after you eat this. I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to order as a main because, to be honest, nothing on the menu really stood out to me. So I decided to go with the royal club. When it came out, my first thought was that it looked like it was a "step up" from cheap diner food. It was stacked high with fried chicken, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickles and honey mustard on toasted white bread. I could not have been more wrong about it being cheap diner food. Each ingredient to the sandwich was fresh with the right ratio of each to deliver a great bite each time. The fried chicken was excellent. Hand breaded and juicy. The bread wasn't any old white bread. I'm guessing it's from a local place. It had excellent texture to tie the whole sandwich together. I believe the person who served me was Carrigan, at the bar. So happy groovy beast is back! Our food was delicious and portions were reasonable. It is a bummer that sides are separate from entrees, which unfortunately adds up when eating out as a family. However, I understand inflation has affected us all, including restaurants! We got the garden salad with strawberry vinaigrette, kids tenders, BBQ tossed tenders, a beer and a margarita The salad was delicious with a house made dressing and a generous serving of juicy grilled chicken tenders. My couldn’t stop raving about the fried tenders and said he has to go back to get more over and over before he had even finished eating! Lastly, my husbands tossed BBQ were tasty and he said the sauce was great! All in all, a good meal, albeit on the more expensive side of casual dining. I’m sure we will be back soon!
