Fantastic food and service! Were very quick to fix an error with the order and went the extra mile. Fast pick up with beautiful deck. Will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

Our group meets here twice a month for lunch — and Grumpy Goat Tavern earns its place as our go-to spot for good reason. The food is consistently solid, the atmosphere works really well for group gatherings, and the whiskey selection is a genuine highlight. Pricing is fair for what you get. That said, I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5 because of two things I noticed during our last visit: the table wasn't set up and ready when we arrived (we had a group, so this matters), and service ran a shade slower than expected during our meal. These aren't dealbreakers — we'll be back. But for a venue that clearly has the potential for a 5-star experience, getting the basics right for group bookings would seal it. A little more attention to pre-arrival setup and service pacing would go a long way. Recommended for groups, business lunches, and anyone who appreciates a good atmosphere with quality food and drinks. Just call ahead and confirm your setup. Wow! This place used to be a nice, unique spot with awesome employees that knew your name. Now? This place is just a pub. I don’t see them being unique enough to survive when the golf season is over. I gave it two stars because the burger was actually above average. The servers and bartenders are busy talking with eachother that they don’t pay attention to the customers. I have never met a bartender who has ZERO desire to have a conversation with the bar patrons. They should have done research and did whatever they could to get as most of the staff back as possible. They made the place a welcoming atmosphere…combine with the unique food for the area and you had a place that could survive the winter. So very sad to see what it has become…just a bland place in an area with a lot of them. No longer the extensive, different beer selection. Just your average domestics priced like they are craft ($5 for a Miller Lite?). Good luck to the new owners…I fear you will need it!
