Every time I find myself in Washington, DC, there's one place that never fails to impress me--Gypsy Kitchen DC. Not only is their food consistently exceptional, but their commitment to outstanding service truly sets them apart. During my most recent visit, they went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary, despite calling ahead and learning that the kitchen would be closing in just 30 minutes. This remarkable level of dedication further solidified Gypsy Kitchen DC as one of my all-time favorite restaurants in the city. During my recent visit, we started with the Hummus and Flatbread--a choice that left us utterly satisfied. The Flatbread arrived hot and fresh, straight out of the oven, boasting a delightful texture and enticing aroma. Paired with the freshly made Hummus, it was a match made in culinary heaven. The Hummus itself was a harmonious blend of fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced spices, and a creamy texture that was simply irresistible. We also decided to try the Aleppo Spiced Fried Chicken, and it proved to be an excellent choice. The lightly breaded chicken was fried to perfection, delivering a satisfying crunch with every bite. The dish complemented the Hummus splendidly, creating a tantalizing combination of flavors. While the Seared Halloumi had room for improvement, as the pieces were on the smaller side and could have benefited from more robust seasoning, it did not dampen our overall experience. In fact, the Flatbread, Hummus, and Aleppo Spiced Fried Chicken were so delightful that we couldn't resist ordering them twice to share among our group. Gypsy Kitchen DC remains firmly at the top of my list as one of the finest restaurants in DC. I continue to highly recommend this culinary haven to both locals and visitors alike. From the impeccable service to the mouthwatering dishes, Gypsy Kitchen DC consistently delivers an extraordinary dining experience that will leave you wanting more.
