We were in Athens for 6 days (May 2026) and I saw Hood Dog on Maps. I thought it would make a nice change from eating Greek food. We came out of a museum nearby and decided to get these hot dogs for lunch. We got there at 11:50 and found they don't open until 12:00, 10 minutes wasn't going to stop me from getting a good hot dog. The security shutters weren't lifted until 12:10, then we were told they wouldn't be ready to serve for another 20 minutes. At this point we had to give up and found a great little cafe a couple of streets away before carrying on sightseeing. Although we had something else to eat around 16:00 I couldn't get rid of this craving for hot dogs. At 21:00 I had become so annoying that my wife agreed we should go and finally get me a hot dog, so we walked all the way up there. As soon as we walked into Hood Dog we were told they didn't have any hot dogs, but we could order other things like fries. At that point there was no chance I would buy anything there. Who runs a business like this? You open late and still can't serve anything. Then run out of your main product by 21:00 when you remain open until like 05:00 in the morning. I hardly ever write a review, but this was so bad I had to say something. Apart from the crazy traffic and terrible pavements to walk on, Hood Dog is the worst thing we have found in Athens.
