I recently visited Hard Times Cafe to play pool with some friends, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was welcoming, and there was a great variety of entertainment that kept us having fun all night. Every request was handled promptly, and we never had to wait long for service. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. What truly made this experience unforgettable happened at the end of the night. My friend accidentally left his wallet behind, containing $200 in cash, his ID, and several debit cards. We didn’t realize it until after the restaurant had already closed. The next morning, I returned when they opened at 11:00 a.m., hoping we might at least recover the important documents. To my surprise and relief, Manager Mike handed me the wallet with everything still inside, including the full $200 in cash. We were incredibly grateful. At that point, we were mainly concerned about recovering the IDs and cards, but finding every dollar untouched was a wonderful surprise. In a world where honesty can sometimes feel hard to come by, Mike and his staff reminded us that there are still genuinely good and trustworthy people out there. Their integrity, kindness, and professionalism restored a little faith in humanity and left a lasting impression on us. Thank you, Mike, and the entire Hard Times Cafe team, for not only providing a fantastic night of entertainment but also for demonstrating exceptional honesty and character. Unfortunately it was really bad right from the moment I had stepped into the restaurant. The smell of cigarettes were nauseating and no one really pays attention to you, picking up an order felt very awkward. The location in College Park used to be very good and friendly, I didn’t expect the service and atmosphere to be so low for this company I ordered tacos and nachos for my family and I, after less than an hour of eating plus not finishing, we all felt uneasy from the food and vomited. This place doesn’t take food handling and safety seriously, I’m disgusted and $60 went down the drain. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–60 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
