Just kind of wandered in here while exploring Austin and did not regret it! Such a chill vibe, I loved the Photo Booth and our bartender was great! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I love this place and was really confused to see it doesn’t have much higher reviews. After looking through the negative reviews, it’s hilarious to see that they are all based upon the fact that when people put in a $10 bill to the Photo Booth they did not receive change. Has nothing to do with the bar; why don’t you try leaving a review on the Photo Booth’s page? Or get with the rest of the economy and quit using cash. The other negative reviews are regarding the automatic 20% gratuity. Someone posted a copy of the receipt where it states right there that it’s added. Just because you didn’t notice doesn’t make the practice of adding it a scam. That’s called user error. As someone who was a server for years and was stiffed on large tabs after parties sat for 3 hours, I can understand this practice and don’t feel it’s a reason you should give an awesome bar a bad review. I will say, however, that the responses from the owner to the negative reviews made reading them worth every minute. Nailed it! This place is an absolute vibe and the only reason I’m happy the reviews aren’t higher is because it’s not absolutely packed every time I go. I hope it remains a secret hidden gem serving only the badass patrons who truly appreciate it and deserve to be there. And who use a credit card at photo booths. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Higbie's is one of our favorite bars to stop in when we visit Austin! The atmosphere is great, they are always playing top sporting events, the bartenders are quick, awesome, and a lot of fun and we love the pool tables! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $1–10
