Had the please of working there many years ago and then the pleasure of visiting again a decade later. Lovely little Inn that is literally off the beaten track. Lovely big garden for outdoor drinking or eating, a function room, great ales and even better service. If you’re lucky, you might get a visit from the village donkeys too. Service: 5

Wow, what a fabulous place this is. Perfect location, so quiet and peaceful. The room, which had decking outside was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. The food in the restaurant was to die for, simply superb. All that said, what set this place apart were the staff. They were utterly superb. Always caring, always helpful and always there when needed without being overbearing. Would I go back? Definitely, without hesitation Service: 5

We recently enjoyed a delightful stay at the High Corner Inn. Although we didn't opt for the premium rooms, ours was very comfortable, beautifully furnished, and faultless, complete with tea, coffee, radio, TV, a lovely bathroom, and an extremely comfortable bed with ample pillows and duvet covers—warm and cheerful indeed! The evening meal was scrumptious, and the breakfast was tasty and generous. The managers were hands-on and helpful both in the evening and the following morning. We took walks in the late afternoon and early morning, enjoying the inn's setting amidst charming countryside. We could bring our dog which was a huge plus !! and there were indeed quite a few 4 legged friends staying there as well , thank you !! However, the 10pm curfew was a bit of a damper. Last orders were called at 9pm somewhat brusquely by a younger staff member, and shortly after, we were asked to vacate the premises and return to our rooms. This was particularly disappointing as we had just met a very friendly couple and our evening was cut unexpectedly short. There was no alternative space for us to continue our evening, which the four of us found abrupt and somewhat improper. Perhaps in the summer, guests might linger outdoors, but in winter, such an abrupt end to the evening feels quite harsh. This is the reason I cannot award five stars to our stay. Nonetheless, if you don't mind an early night during this season, it remains a very lovely place to stay with delectable food on offer. Thank you. Service: 4

It was lovely looking after you :) We are looking at creating a guest area, very difficult over the Winter period as all our staff have to drive home in the evenings and the track gets very dangerous over the Winter period.
