Wanted to grab some food and take it up to our room. The hostess turn up her nose and said "To go? We don't do to go". It's not like it's fine dining, just a bar and grill with a poor attitude

The drinks are solid and they have plenty of TVs for whatever game might be on. The food is not much to brag about but hits the mark for hotel bar food. The kitchen also stays open late enough to cover some later arriving flights. Prices might be a bit higher than some places in the area, but aren't completely out of line. The staff is friendly and very helpful - which when you are traveling is always a pleasant bonus. I ended up visiting this bar half the evenings I was in town so clearly it is good enough for repeat visits if you are traveling. Enjoy! We had a disappointing experience at High Velocity and it seemed like an off night overall. When we first walked up, there was no one available to seat us, so we sat ourselves. Shortly after, the wait staff became aggravated and told us to move to another area, which ended up being another server’s section. That server was not polite and came across as rude. The food took a long time to arrive, and unfortunately it wasn’t good. I couldn’t finish my sandwich. What really stood out, though, was what I witnessed when I went to use the restroom—I saw the manager chewing out the hostess for not seating people, and she referred to me and my coworker as “stupid people” for seating ourselves because no one was there. Between the service, food quality, and that interaction, it left a bad impression. Hopefully this was just an off night, because the atmosphere and concept have potential.
