I haven’t been to Hispanic Mechanic for probably 10 years long time between drinks and they made it worth the wait! Delicious food and well priced - we ordered the $55 feed me menu and were wholeheartedly satisfied. Delicious food with brilliant balance of flavour, texture and meat-to-veg ratio. The wings were unreal. Atmosphere is great - just the right amount of noise to feel busy but not cramped and easy to talk at the table. Staff were attentive but not pushy and gave brilliant food and drink recommendations. The only reason we left was because the team gently reminded us that even legends need to knock off for the night. If closing time weren’t a thing, we’d probably still be there. Look forward to coming again soon. Price per person: $80–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Nachos, Elote, Master Kims 5 Star Wings, Great Food and Service, Bird in a Bowl Vegetarian options: Plenty of vego options

What a sad decline we witnessed on Saturday night. We've been many times in the past and wanted to showcase an Adelaide institution to an interstate guest... and were just embarrassed. Our dining experience resembled an episode of Fawlty Towers - and in the end we just had to laugh.... Our waitress was new, and didn't know any details of any of the dishes - which was fine for a new starter - but sadly she was on her own - managing the entire service & dining room, so the food coming and going was a guess & dietaries not managed at all. Drink orders were forgotten, glasses were dirty, the table wasn't cleared at all (so we ended up with all 6 half eaten courses, + empty glasses, wine bottles, plates on the table) for around an hour .... we did our own clearing prior to deserts. All of this would have been fine if the food quality had been maintained - but the beautiful Mexican flavors and generous slow cooked meats of old have been replaced with reheated, dry, luke warm, cheese & chip laden - bland plates resembling what you might expect from a cheap fast food franchise - it was as authentic as Milli Vanilli. Our deserts were topped with cream that was off - which really topped off our dining experience beautifully - and our hosts simply didn't care. By 8:30 we were the only table left in the main room, a very sad decline from yester year, where the restaurant always had a lovely vibe, great music, attentive service, a flow of drinks and amazing food. We simply can't recommend. Price per person: A$80–100 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Dietary restrictions: Not managed or explained when ordering or when receiving meals

Really love this location. The Nachos Santos are truly excellent, packed and incredibly delicious. Beverages are consistently excellent as well. Relaxed atmosphere, nice folks, reasonable costs. A great choice to suggest if you're looking for something delicious without any hassle. Price per person: $40–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Nachos, Master Kims 5 Star Wings, KFC Taco
