Clinton and Rachel have curated a playful playground for coffee. Homage Coffee blends simplicity and complexity of coffee culture. First step in, you're greeted with a full-frontal view of the espresso machine and register. The menu at a first glance looks rather boring with plain beverages. Waiting in line is where it gets exciting. Accompanied by a shelf with a wide selection of coffee beans for sale, the commitment to a fun specialty coffee culture stood out. I was told at times, coffee from 7-8 different roasters are offered, and the cafe constantly rotates through roasters. Once you reach near the register, there is a digital screen with the current pour over and espresso offerings. I was blown away with the variety, as it can be daunting to dial in/upkeep a wide coffee-centric selection. Clinton answered my questions about the coffee I was interested in easily approachable terms. Looking around the walls furthermore, the decoration stands out with an organic blend of natural plants and artwork in numerous forms: pottery, photography, books, and paintings. I couldn't decide between a pour over and espresso, so I tried one of each. Rachel kindly served both beverages. I have been looking for a cafe that offers coffee with good clarity, and the beverages I had today exceeded my expectations. Speaking with Clinton and Rachel, their passion for coffee is apparent. They kindly offered advice in brewing a good cup at home, and the curiosity that lead them to many trials before success stood out. I'm excited to have tried Homage. This place revitalized my curiosity for specialty coffee, and I'm looking forward to the future visits! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I love this place! The coffee is delightful and they clearly care a lot about what they make you. Everyone here is so nice, even the customers. It is also a nut free cafe! Great music, cute interior - I think this just became my new go to place in Ballard! No WiFi and food is small pastry items if that’s important to you. Been wanting to check this place out for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Homage Coffee is truly one of Seattle’s go-to spots for specialty coffee, with excellent pour-overs and a great variety of beans available for purchase. You can tell they really care about quality and the craft. Clinton and Rachel were amazing hosts—knowledgeable, welcoming, and true pros. Great experience overall, and I’ll definitely be back.
