The best Nem Khao I have ever tried. I mean it was so good. The rice was fried to perfection and it was so refreshing. There were so many veggies involved and it was so nice eating a nice bowl of goodness for a change. The leaves were also great. Please visit this place as the owner working there is so nice and so knowledgeable. He will give you so much information about the dish and has recipes on how to do that. I wish I stayed longer to do a cooking class. Well worth the visit and my time. We loved Homemade Riverside Restaurant and kept coming back throughout our stay in Champasak. We ate here almost every day – breakfast, lunch and dinner – and always enjoyed it. The owner and his wife cook themselves, serving delicious local dishes with fresh local ingredients and excellent value for money. The whole family creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel instantly welcome. Don’t be put off by the simple entrance – the terrace by the Mekong is beautiful, especially at sunrise and sunset. We truly fell in love with the people and the place. Highly recommended.
