I have previously visited Hotel Amerika several times and had a very good experience. Both the rooms, the surroundings and the food are usually in a class where you get a lot for the money, and I have also previously given it five stars. However, my last visit was somewhat less impressive. I don't know if I was particularly unlucky or if the hotel has gotten significantly worse during the last two years that I haven't visited it. The otherwise sublime breakfast had been replaced with an outstanding but not flashy breakfast buffet. It was certainly not bad, but also not the kind where you sit and think "Wow, I'm getting a lot for my money". Unfortunately, the bathroom was also pretty run down, the toilet wouldn't really flush and the drain smelled bad when you took a shower. I would still recommend going to Hotel Amerika, but it is not as good as it has been - and you can obviously be unlucky with the rooms. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 5
