Super nice hotel! We had an over water bungalow which was super clean and spacey. It gets a little noisy in the morning because there is regular traffic on the river. The staff is friendly and attentive at all times. The location is so calming with water nearly all around. The pool is big and there's a happy hour at the pool bar every day. We would definitely come back! P.S. We did a private boat trip which was amazing! We saw pelicans, iguanas, lots of herons and other water birds as well as breath taking nature, fort ruins, hot springs and local fisher homes. Our stop in Livingston in the other side was devastating for me. Lot of rotten houses and the poorest dogs I saw in Guatemala (and I saw a lot of poor souls there).

We spent 2 days & nights in the Rio Dulce area, and stayed in the riverside Hotel Catamaran bungalows. The location is perfect and a small boat shuttles you and your luggage to the hotel. The bungalows are rustic, clean, and comfortable. There's a nice restaurant, pool, and outdoor bar. Also enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the cafe. Very fun stay!
