Changed ownership, fried rice has no flavor and the sesame chicken is questionable. The consistency of the sauce was like red jelly cheese and inseparable from the chicken. It’s almost like it was just thrown into the pan from a package. Now for the fried rice, it was bland with no color other than the vegetables. Maybe they leave it for people to add soy sauce to? I’m not sure, but the food was definitely not worth the price. The one dish that was enjoyable was the hot n sour soup. The restaurant seems to have some changes, but you can get the same old chairs, tables and booths are still there. Except the carved wood is now covered with what seems to be rushed wallpaper, but hey at least the tvs were installed. Tried the House Of Potsticker last night for dinner, I was hoping for a better review but my wife and I weren't very impressed We ordered the Pork Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Honey Walnut Prawns and the Beef with Green beans. In a nutshell, we felt the fried rice was pretty bland, the sweet & sour chicken had a decent flavor but the chicken was tough. The honey walnut prawns were not as sweet or tasty as we were hoping and the beef and green beans was n the salty side. We're still searching for a great Chinese food Place here in the Modesto area, we're currently 0 for 4.
