Had a great experience at this sushi spot today! The prices are very reasonable, and they are super generous with the fish—the portions are huge and the ingredients taste fresh. Every bite was delicious and super satisfying. Excellent value for money! I’ll definitely be back often. One of the best sushi restaurants in Bozeman Downtown. Highly recommended! Hug kan is one of our favorite sushi restaurants in Bozeman! The staff is so friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is wonderful. My toddler loved being able to watch the sushi chefs work their magic behind the glass. The Green Earth roll is one of my unexpected absolute favorites with it being a vegetarian roll. I order 2 whenever I go! My next favorite is the Hug Kan Roll, followed by the Jenny Roll! And if you have left any room for a sweet treat at the end of your meal, get the MANGO STICKY RICE!! Trust me, it won’t disappoint. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I don’t write restaurant reviews very often but Hugkan absolutely deserves one. Tucked away just one block off Main Street in downtown Bozeman, this little local gem has quietly become my favorite sushi spot in town. The fish is incredibly fresh, the prices are refreshingly reasonable, and every meal I’ve had here has been consistently excellent. Our favorites? The Yellowtail (pictured): hands down one of my all-time favorite dishes in Bozeman. The Hugkan Roll: an easy “must order.” The Sushi Deluxe Tray: one of the best values on the menu. Beautiful variety, generous portions, and every bite is delicious. What makes me keep coming back, though, isn’t just the food. It’s the people. Every time we’ve been there, we’ve been greeted with genuine warmth. The staff make you feel like you’re walking into a neighborhood restaurant where they’re truly happy to see you. Braden and Erin always take such great care of us, and that kind of hospitality is something you remember. To be honest, I’ve pretty much stopped going to the other sushi places in Bozeman. This is where I go whenever I’m craving sushunless someone is treating me to great omakase. Then, for one evening only, my loyalty becomes surprisingly negotiable. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and give Hugkan a try. I have a feeling you’ll be planning your next visit before you’ve even paid the bill.
